The above line chart shows the average daily viewers of Channel One News over a period of 12-months. The number of viewers for the 1 pm news remained fairly stable with average value of 1.3 million viewers throughout the year. The viewership for the 6 pm News started at a value of 4.8 million and with continuous fluctuations ended at 3.4 million viewers with a clear decreasing trend.
In contrast, number of viewers for 9:30 pm News
gradually
increased from 3.2 million viewers per day in January to a peak of 3.8 million in May. However, with an increase in viewership of
11 pm News during May, the number of viewers of
9:30 pm news plummeted hitting a minimum value of 1.1 million users in August. During the same period, the viewership for the 11 pm news
increased sharply from 0.2 million to 4.1 million . From August onwards, the number of viewers for the 9:30 pm news
increased steadily, reaching a value of 3 million by the end of the year. Meanwhile, the viewership of 11 pm news
declined sharply and dropped to 1 million in December.
